Friends formed a unique partnership and collaboration with ARC of Loudoun to help prevent eviction and homelessness among people living in poverty in Loudoun County.
The Community Action Agency Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program focuses on the prevention of poverty. The overall goal is to promote and develop self-sufficiency. The objectives are to develop, implement and support programs in areas of basic needs that support people in their quest for self-sufficiency. The ultimate outcome measure of CSBG is whether those currently living in poverty are able to become self-sufficient, contributing members of their communities. The aim of the Loudoun CAA is to facilitate that process to the best of its ability in the Loudoun community.
Partnering with the ARC of Loudoun will help Friends reach more people.
