Katrina Cole was born and raised in Loudoun County. She has always had a heart for serving and caring for others. Katrina joined the Friends’ Board of Directors in December 2009 and became President in January 2016. Prior to that time, Katrina joined the Loudoun County Community Services Board in 2004 where she served as Secretary to the Executive Committee, as well as chair of the Strategic Planning Task Force and as a member of the Public Awareness Task Force.
As President of Friends, Katrina is working diligently to bring recognition of the organization's work to the public to increase awareness of the need for good mental health, the struggles people with mental illness deal with on a daily basis, the need for better services, and erasing the stigma associated with mental illness. She also has as a personal mission of the prevention of suicide, especially in our youth.
